No More Searching

I was a searcher before I began my search.
I would look everywhere, but where I was going, to find…
For what, for who, for why.
My search first began in the clouds,
surely something in the heavens would give me answers.
I searched in people,
Surely the older, wiser ones would know.
I tiptoed through my memories,
As I searched within myself.
All I found were the breadcrumbs of a feeling
I’d yet to experience.
I had become a wanderer though uncharted, hazy, mists.
My travels brought me no closer to the truth.
In the mirror of my own voice,
I found no answers.
When you spoke my name,
Whispered it between shadow and light,
I saw the clarity of your presence.
I felt the stillness from my storm.
I found the symphony, the rhythm that is you.
I am no longer in search of you.
You awakened the poet in me.
You gave me the outline of a life, of which I’d only dreamed.
I could no longer remain the same. You taught me that…
To love
To be loved
Is to be changed…forever.
